Sarco, Inc. is looking to immediately hire entry level assembly and production workers.  Various openings in production environment, positions vary from assembly, testing and packing product. You will be working on a production line which means repetitive work which may require standing all day.  No prior experience required. You must be flexible with hours and be able to work 10/12 hour shifts and occasionally 6 days a week.  

Shift begins as early as 8am.
Compensation: From $8.00 USD Per Hour

Purchasing Specialist

Job Description: Experienced (Non Manager)

GOAL
Source and purchase the assigned commodities at the best price, best quality and best terms in a timely manner in order to maximize profit margin.

MAJOR OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITY
Establish and meet inventory level targets, to ensure all sales orders can be filled on time. Responsible for following management's defined cost reduction plans through sourcing, negotiating, volume ordering and placing orders timely to reduce shipping costs.

RESPONSIBILITES AND DUTIES

  • Establish minimum and maximum inventory levels and reorder quantities as applicable
  • Analytical ability necessary to gather and interpret data and develop, recommend, and implement solution
  • Purchase products through approved policies and procedures at best possible prices and terms
  • Process sales orders and create assembly orders
  • Ensure inventory is available to fulfill all sales orders on time
  • Generate and submit purchase orders for items needed to fulfill orders
  • Generate and submit purchase orders for stock items per supervisor
  • Communicate with vendors/suppliers to receive current shipping status on purchase orders
  • Enter all updated shipping promise dates into GP
  • Obtain competitive bids to ensure best pricing and terms
  • Maintain understanding and ownership of: Open PO Report, PO not confirmed report and Assembly by component report
  • Transmit information and requests expeditiously and accurately
  • Provide reporting to management as requested by management
  • Maintain effective communication channels with supervisors regarding any product deficiencies and lead time challenges

Manufacturing Planner

Description of the Position: 
As the Manufacturing Planner your role is to analyze our production specifications, plant capacity data and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements along with setting shipment schedules that meet our customers demand.​ The objective is to generate accurate plans to meet customer demand utilizing software tools provided along with verbal and written communication to all departments needed to get our products shipped on time.​ 

As the manufacturing planner you'll be expected to operate on your own initiative and also contribute as a team member working with manufacturing, purchasing, sales and customers service and quality under the guidelines set for you by management.​ You will be expected to interact professionally with company executives, sales, engineering, production, quality while carrying out your responsibilities.​ 

Detailed essential job functions: 
- Plans and sets priorities to drive work-flow for each work center and departments according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.​ 
- Plans sequence of manufacturing steps for guidance of production workers and purchasing so they can alert our suppliers of what is required of them.​ 
- Plans and prepares manufacturing schedules for all products.​ 
- Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.​  
- Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions such as supplier delays and manufacturing bottlenecks.​ 
- Prepares production reports through running MRP ensuring accuracy making clear material requirements and resource planning needed to meet customer demands.​ 
- You will be required to initiate work orders in the system to drive manufacturing.​
- May prepare purchase orders to obtain materials when buyer is not available.​ 
- Responsible to run daily meetings to communicate accurately with manufacturing and purchasing what the priorities are.​ 
- Responsible to run daily exceptions meeting with management so that they can be aware of eminent risk of meeting on time deliveries to our customers and for them to provide guidance to ensure we meet timely deliveries.​ 
- Helps develop, update and maintain procedures and documentation for all planning functions to meet our TL9000requirements.​ 
Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports the companies Quality policy & Quality System.​ 

Minimum requirements: 
A successful candidate for this position would possess 5+​ years planning in a manufacturing environment responsible for the functions outlined above.​ Must possess experience working with excel spreadsheets to plan and track manufacturing orders.​ Additionally must be well versed in using an MRP software tool to manage production manufacturing requirements.​ A purchasing background is preferred.​ You must have broad knowledge of manufacturing processes. Successful individual will possess a professional high sense of urgency.​ Must have a personality which exemplifies the desire to drive and own the successful execution of the daily schedule.​ Must have strong negotiating skills 

Abilities required: 
You must be able to read, write and verbally communicate clearly with the English language.​ You must be able to present yourself professionally.​ You must possess effective time management skills.​ You need to be fluent with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.​ You must be able to work as part of a team while taking ownership for your specific responsibilities.​ You must be able to project plan and manage time-lines and present proposals and results as needed.​

GOAL
Direct and coordinate all activities in the manufacturing department including assembly, testing and quality assurance to attain production goals consistent with cost, quality and delivery requirements

MAJOR OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITY
Effectively collaborate with and manage a work team with specific responsibility for motivating others, ensuring performance, scheduling, execution, task coordination, equipment and area preparation

RESPONSIBILITES AND DUTIES

  • Supervise the direct processing of materials and the production team to ensure attainment of business results
  • Collaborate with team members in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives and action plans
  • Positively manage technical and personnel challenges to ensure maximum production is achieved daily
  • Collaborate with management, production and sales staff to determine manufacturing feasibility and scheduling
  • Review and establish material, equipment and manpower resource requirements
  • Support activities in the areas of cost containment, efficiency, productivity, waste minimization and operational excellence
  • Create workflow set up for maximum, efficient production
  • Maintain tooling and machinery implementing proper set up, clean up, storage and replacement;
  • Responsible for the maintenance of tools and machinery ensuring both preventative maintenance and repairs are scheduled
  • Ensure all assemblies are produced in accordance with specifications, drawings and SOPs
  • Participate in creating documentation and SOP for assemblies
  • Participate in design and implementation of training and development programs
  • Ensure that materials are properly handled and equipment is properly operated
  • Maintain control of processes and product quality by ensuring compliance with quality testing, SOPs and safety guidelines
  • Monitor the manufacturing processes during the shift
  • Manage and lead a team of 10-30 employees
  • Adhere to daily production schedule and achieve shipping goals
  • Measure, analyze, and improve productivity and efficiency
  • Adhere and enforce OSHA, quality, and company policies

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of three years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Must have a mechanical application background preferably with Schleuniger machinery
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and under strict deadlines
  • Posses exceptional communication skill and the ability to speak fluent English and Spanish
  • Computer literacy, proficient in the use of Microsoft office
  • Proven experience with leading and motivating and training a team of 10+
  • Willingness to work weekends
  • Ability to assess situations, comprehend needs, and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner
  • Prioritization and attention to detail is essential
